Unfortunately I could not give a lower rating. Went to ridgedale DMV 7-7-17 ordered personal plates - was given a 60 day temp sticker for my window. Aug 8th went back to DMV with the "WRONG" plate being mailed to me. Now I have spent 2 "2 hour sessions " at DMV. Went back on 9-9-17 as my plates have not yet arrived - tried to get an extension on my expired 60 day temp - was told I would have to wait in line - guess again - I'm now driving my vehicle on expired temp registration because - well I think you can figure it out. If this was a private business they would have gone out of business years ago. Last thought - would it be so difficult to assist the customer- it would make life much easier on all concerned
A week later I was told to come back there to sign some more papers!
I'd rather try the new Southdale Center.
Never got there. Everything is automated and they didn't answer the phone. Three minutes of listening to zed!
Government Effeciency at work
Slow, poor customer service and not all knowledgeable with what they're doing! Went there June 2017 to register my recently purchased car, couldn't find my car in their system (2014 Chevrolet Caprice) I wanted expedited title ($20 extra) only one employee knew that existed, 2 hour deal! (My lady customer rep was the supervisor!)
Sadly this is the best DMV I have seen in Minnesota. The people working there do their best, that's not the problem, it's that they are hugely understaffed, and Minnesota is still stuck in the stone age with it's services. Most things are still handled by snail mail (mailing titles, licenses, etc) I just bought a car and I need to wait 95 DAYS to get the new title! Insane. And the huge wait times force people to take days off their precious vacation time away from family just to sit in DMV hell. Shame on Minnesota government for this rotten "service"
Came in, two people waiting. Sat for 45 minutes while 8 staff visited and wasted time as my title yransfer could only be handled by the person having their lunch break.
